The Friday List No. 11

I’m a big fan of Charlotte Taylor, an artist and interior designer based in London and Paris. Her playful color palettes have been a major inspiration as I work on refreshing the Wu Haus website. Thanks so much to everyone who gave their honest feedback on how we can better serve you! I can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on in the near future.

Everybody could use a little less clutter in their inbox, but this Man Repeller article shares 21 email newsletters that are actually worth reading. Subscribe to the Wu Haus newsletter to make it an even 22 😉 Do you have a favorite to read? Comment below.

I spent two great days in LA last week with the people behind OLIPOP, a sparkling tonic that promotes digestive health. Currently, 90% of American households still purchase soft drinks on a regular basis. OLIPOP is on a mission to replace sugary drinks with an alternative that’s good for them and still tastes delicious. The ginger lemon flavor is my fave!

The east coast is my original home, and will always have a special place in my heart. I’m currently in New York and so excited to be staying at Sister City, a new boutique hotel in the Lower East Side. Created by the same people behind Ace Hotel, this beautiful spot is inspired by the philosophy of Less, But Better.

I am obsessed with Maryam Keyhani and her work. Her one-of-a-kind hats are just one expression of her talent; the milliner is also a sculptor, painter and illustrator whose surreal work has been featured in galleries all over Europe.

This New York Times opinion article makes the case for leaving gender out of pronouns and adopting the inclusive, gender-neutral pronoun ‘they.’ It’s a thought-provoking read that has sparked a lot of conversation (the comments section is worth reading through as well).
