Hands down my best purchase of the year! This baguette lamp by former Japanese baker Yukiko Morita is a real baguette that’s been treated in resin to maintain its “freshness.” This whimsical piece literally lights up my day and adds a playful element to my haus décor.

Six people gathered at The New York Times office to settle on the 25 most influential rooms on the way we design, and the results are captivating. The chosen rooms are not only gorgeous in their own unique way, but the whole exercise explored questions and opinions that offers perspective on how we, as humans, experience space.

This New York Times video is heartbreaking but necessary. As conscious consumers, it is our responsibility to understand the truth about recycling and be able to identify propaganda that we’re constantly being served by big corporations. So little of what we “recycle” is actually given another life. This video’s takeaway is: Start buying as if nothing gets recycled.
