It’s hard to believe the holiday season is here! Feels like 2019 just sped past, and here we are. To celebrate the holidays and in the spirit of gathering with friends and loved ones, I’m excited to share this Mango Turmeric Vanilla Mocktail recipe with you. This recipe concludes my year-long partnership with the National Mango Board. In case you missed the other recipes, you can find them here, here and here.
I think people often think of mango as a summery food, but in fact mangos can be found ripe and in season all year round! For this recipe I used Kent mangos, which are readily available in late November and throughout December. They’re sweet and rich with tender, juicy flesh and limited pulp, which makes them ideal for juicing. If you can’t find Kent mangos, no worries! Any fresh, ripe mango variety will work here.
The combination of mango, turmeric, vanilla and lime is fresh, bright and exciting. This mocktail is a great option if you aren’t drinking alcohol this holiday season, but still want a fun drink for parties. If you are drinking alcohol, this drink would also be delicious spiked with either mezcal or tequila. Whatever your plans this season, I hope you’re able to get some quality time with the people in your life that mean the most to you. Sending you love always!

Mango Turmeric Vanilla Mocktail
Serves 8-10
Mango juice:
3 cups fresh, ripe mango, chopped
1.5 cups filtered water
1-2” piece of fresh turmeric, peeled and chopped
Juice from 1 lime
Honey simple syrup: (Make ahead if possible)
1 cup water
1 cup honey
1 vanilla bean, seeds/insides scraped out
2 liters sparkling water
To garnish:
Kaffir lime leaves
Sliced lime
Finger limes (optional)
- Place all mango juice ingredients in a high-speed blender. Blend until very smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp.
- Place water, honey, and vanilla in a small saucepan over medium-low heat and stir to combine. Bring to a low simmer. Reduce heat to low and continue to simmer until honey is completely dissolved, about 10 minutes. Allow to cool fully and place in an air-tight container in the fridge. Will keep for up to 1 month.
- For each drink, add 3 ounces of the mango juice mixture and 1 tablespoon simple syrup to a 6-8 ounce cocktail glass over ice. Swirl to mix. Finish with sparkling water to fill the glass or to taste.
- Garnish with a slice of lime, kaffir lime leaf and citrus pearls from finger limes, if using.
